Details

Center for Food Action (CFA) partners with non-profit groups to support our mission of preventing hunger and homelessness across northern New Jersey. Each weekday, volunteers help prepare food packages that are distributed across their sites, serving approximately 200 families per day and over 1,000 families each week. Volunteers play an important role in making this work possible.

Tasks may include:
- Assembling food packages for distribution
- Sorting and packing donated items
- Organizing warehouse inventory

Participants should be comfortable with bending & reaching, as well as lifting up to 25 pounds. All participants must complete a CFA Waiver and Code of Conduct a week or more prior to their volunteer shift. This is an online process and a link will be provided.
