2:00 p.m. - Voter Suppression Against African Americans - Virtual
In commemoration of Black History Month, the Ramapo College AGF team is holding an event about Voter Suppression Against African Americans. We will talk about both historical and current voter suppression tactics that have been employed by state governments. We will also talk about two pieces of legislation: The For The People Act, and The John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, that if passed in Congress, can help to fight voter suppression by restoring the Voting Rights Act and expanding access to the ballot. There will be time for discussion and a short kahoot at the end, with a $20 gift card awarded to the winner.

Professor Eric Wiener will present a slideshow based on his work in the Peruvian Amazon over the past 30 years, and he and Professor Ashwani Vasishth will share insights and lead a discussion about this critical time for the people and ecosystems of the most biodiverse region on earth. Are you interested in studying relationships between people and music, in your local community and around the world? Then you might be interested in ethnomusicology, a long name for an accessible topic. Ethnomusicologists study how making and listening to music connects to emotion and entertainment; friendship, family, and community; dance, drama, and ritual; business, politics, and globalization; and, more often than not, culture and identity. This Global Talk introduces several of these topics as well as common research methods and ways ethnomusicology relates to other music professions. After the presentation by Professor Marc Gidal, a second ethnomusicologist who teaches at Ramapo, Adjunct Professor Andrew Kaye, will offer additional remarks prior to Q&A with attendees. Bradley Center Spring Semester Hours for Students
The Bradley Center will be open for the Spring semester for currently enrolled students with a valid Ramapo College ID. Book an appointment for the Bradley Fitness Center, Arena, Dance Studio and Pool through the Archway app! Space is limited and appointments must be reserved in advance. Walk-ins are not allowed. All participants are required to adhere to the Ramapo College Daily Symptom Self-Screening Affirmation. Download the Archway app through Google Play or Apple App Store to reserve your time slot for each location.

Counseling Services Offers Telehealth and Virtual Drop-Ins
This semester, Counseling Services is offering telehealth appointments for all current Ramapo College students. If you would like to schedule an intake appointment for counseling, please call the main office at 201-684-7522. Virtual Drop-Ins will also be available daily from 1pm-3pm. Virtual Drop-Ins are conducted via telehealth. They are brief consultations that are free, confidential and available to all current students. Virtual Drop-Ins are on a first-come, first-served basis and the last consultation begins at 2:40pm. Please note that Virtual Drop-Ins do not constitute formal mental health counseling. Ramapo College Food Pantry Spring 2021 Hours
The Ramapo College Food Pantry is open during the following times this semester: Mondays & Wednesdays from 10am-12:30pm and Fridays from 12pm-2pm at ASB-130. Any student, faculty, or staff member interested in visiting the pantry must make an appointment by emailing the We Care Program at wecare@ramapo.edu during pantry hours. All pantry visitors must wear a mask and maintain social distance during their time in the pantry.
If you would like to make a donation to the Food Pantry, you can email the We Care account and we will coordinate with a delivery time.
