Join us for a screening of Black Barbie: A Documentary in honor of Black Women’s History Week (BWHW). This film explores the history and cultural impact of the first Black Barbie as well as the pivotal role three trailblazing women at Mattel had in creating a doll who looked like them. The documentary centers the experiences of Black women and girls, raising questions regarding beauty standards, representation, visibility, identity, and imagination. All are welcome.
