The Civic and Community Engagement Center seeks to advance the common good by encouraging student civic literacy and skills-building. The common good is the notion that all human and other beings have the right to enjoy peaceful and satisfying lives free from individual, institutional or systemic harm. Where there have been harms inflicted, those who are civically and politically engaged can work to remedy them.
