  • Grinds to Grill

Grinds to Grills is the innovation of Ramapo Enactus. Using K-cup cup grinds that would traditionally be thrown in the garbage, RCNJ Enactus takes the grinds and turns them into charcoal for your grill. They are perfect for an economical way to BBQ during the summer. In the Tie New Jersey University 2021 Pitch Competition it was awarded the Social Innovation Award.

  • Smile Space

Do you know what Depression is? It's more than being sad all the time or being too lazy to get out of bed. It is a mental disorder that can affect anyone of any age or sex. Moreover, as it affects approximately 264 million people around the world, depression silently kills as approximately 60% of children and adolescents with depression don't seek out help and yet are more likely to commit suicide compared to others.

Why don't they get help? Well, that's unfortunately a complicated question. Just to list a few it can be due to the fact that those affected don't know how to help themselves, are too ashamed to help themselves, don't even know that they need help or simply that they don't have the money to afford expensive treatment. Thus, wouldn't it be nice to have a solution that solves all of those problems at once?

    - Daily Mental Health Rating: If the ratings are lower than usual, then you have the option to notify your local therapist and book a session.

    - Weekly webinars/conferences on mental health, positivity, nutrition and steps individuals can take to better themselves.

    - Digital Library: Articles, books and other videos related to depression and easing it.

    - Community: People can share their experiences, tips and other ideas to motivate and support each other.

    - Games: Used to ease stress.

Our solution is like none other, it's all about being you and acceptance.

  • Eco-Friendly Bobbers

Upon realizing that in Northern New Jersey, bamboo is a serious concern as an invasive species, tearing apart our natural environment and dumped fishing gear makes up 10% of ocean plastic pollution and 80% of ocean pollution comes from rivers, Leah Carratura will be starting her Bobber project creating fishing bobbers out of bamboo. By using bamboo, if the bobber is lost in the water it will eventually decompose and not pollute the water.
