Members Benefits and Eligibility

MEMBERS BENEFITS:

Students become a part of this community of mathematics scholars. Members get information about career opportunities, get to attend a math conference, and/or a math competiiton.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be inducted in the current academic year, the student must satisfy all of the following by the end of the last full academic year prior to the induction year (i.e. by June 30th of the prior academic year):

1) The student completed at least two calculus courses or their equivalent.

2) The student completed at least two additional mathematics courses at or above calculus that lead to the fulfillment of the requirements in the mathematics major.

3) The student has an overall GPA of at least 3.0 on the 4.0 scale.

4) The student has a GPA of 3.0 on the 4.0 scale in the mathematics courses taken so far that lead to the fulfillment of the requirements of a major in mathematics.

5) If a student has courses that were transferred from other institutions, at least two of the four required courses mentioned between items (1.) and (2.) above must be completed at Ramapo College.
