Become an educator and activist for wellness on campus!

About Us

W.I.N. peer educators provide educational programs and resources to other Ramapo students regarding mental and emotional health, as well as other wellness issues. The topic areas include, but are not limited to, mental health, suicide prevention, stress reduction, sleep, nutrition, and sexual health.

W.I.N. is a volunteer position for Ramapo students affiliated with the Center for Health and Counseling Services (CHCS). Peer educators approach other Ramapo students with empathy, and utilize a harm reduction framework to support students and promote intervention services. W.I.N. strives to support a community that encourages healthy and safe behaviors through education, personal responsibility, positive social norms, academic engagement and a vibrant co-curricular life. Programs hosted by W.I.N. are open to all students.

Member Benefits

W.I.N. peers will hone a ton of valuable skills. The training alone provides skills in making a behavior change, listening skills, response and referral, how to take action and intervene, recognizing the role of diversity and inclusivity, self-care, and group dynamics.

Grow Your Resume!

  1. W.I.N. utilizes the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Certified Peer Education Program.  Students who are certified receive a CPE certification, membership card, and resume attachment!
  2. Gain skills in public speaking, event marketing, event planning, and evaluation!
  3. Increase your knowledge in wellness topics that are vital to fields like psychology, social work, nursing, and many more!

Not only will you meet other peers with a shared passion for health and wellbeing, but you will connect meaningfully with other students through your facilitation of events!
