The Yoga Club at Ramapo College aims to provide its members with a new approach to achieving mental and physical peace through regularly held classes and numerous weekend workshops. All of our club's weekly classes are entirely optional, completely free, and open to anyone interested in joining yoga club. Weekend workshops vary by semester and present members with an opportunity to try new meditation techniques, explore a different branch of Hatha yoga, learn sanskrit, chanting, breathing techniques, or even try a new approach to food. The Yoga Club sometimes embarks on yoga retreats, such as to Kripalu, to renew and refresh. We also sometimes go to conferences, such as Yoga Journal, to learn and grow more. Vision Statement: “To bring yoga to the broader college community and eliminate the fear, intimidation and judgment students may have about yoga. With more student involvement in the yoga club, the executive board along with the help of the dedicated yoga community hope share the plentiful gifts of this enriching practice everyday with more people, improving their bodies, minds and spirits”.
