About Us

We are 1STEP (Students Together for Environmental Progress). We come from a diverse background and have a wide range of interests, but are all passionate about making the world we live in more sustainable. 1Step is a student organization and outreach arm for localized sustainability, environmental issues, and to help further the Ramapo Green initiative at Ramapo College of New Jersey. Ascertaining that Ramapo meets its commitment to increase recycling and waste awareness on campus, as does personal growth in all realms of sustainability. We also act as a bridge between local sustainable organizations and the general campus community. Based on the guiding principles of feasible solutions, service, awareness, and collaboration, 1Step aims to recruit a diverse and passionate body of members that embrace sustainable development. Just like nature itself, our organization is constantly evolving and adapting to the unique needs and desires of the Ramapo community and its constituents.
